HADCAFHADCAF 2010

Well, HADCAF is over for another year and what a festival it’s been, with superb theatre and music, fascinating talks and workshops, splendid exhibitions and entertainment. Feedback has been enthusiastic, with many saying it was the best HADCAF yet (which rather puts the organizers on the spot – how to better it next year? And then they remind themselves that people say that every year!).

An enormous thank-you to all who contributed to its success whether as performer or participant, audience member or helper before or behind the scenes – HADCAF simply couldn’t have happened without you!

BACKGROUND TO THE FESTIVAL

Hungerford & District Community Arts Festival (popularly known as HADCAF) takes place annually in July and aims to encourage, promote and celebrate the talent, expertise and skills that abound within our community.  In addition to offering a platform to local individuals, societies and organisations, the Festival brings to the community performances of music and theatre that would not otherwise be seen locally.

The Festival seeks to include something for all ages, tastes and interests, and the programme encompasses a wide range of arts- and leisure-related events and attractions:  the performing arts, visual arts, music of all kinds, exhibitions, talks, craft and dance workshops, local history, antiques, horticulture, conservation and wildlife, guided walks, plus gardens and artists' studios to visit.

HADCAF is supported by  Plus numerous individuals and local businesses identified in the programme.
Thanks also to the staff of Newbury Building Society (Hungerford branch) for their excellent box office service.
