South-east facing, partially shaded garden designed to meet the needs of the whole family. Small sunken garden, productive vegetable garden, soft frui/trees, children's garden, Japanese-inspired pond with bridge, Persian-inspired rill garden. Donations appreciated to Hillside Animal Sanctuary.

 

Inkpen House, Lower Green, Inkpen 2-6pm (courtesy of Mr & Mrs Male)

4-acre garden laid out at the beginning of the 18th century in the Versailles style with formal planting of avenues and bosquets. Pleached lime walk, walled kitchen garden, newly created water garden.

Admission £1.50 (children free), no dogs please.

About 8 gardens, large and small. Tickets and map on sale in The Square, Ramsbury. Teas and plants available. Proceeds to local charities.
